Marie Howard-Deeth (FdSc) owns and runs both Woofington Grammar School for Dogs and Woofington Lodge. She has a foundation degree in canine training and behaviour from the University of Hull and is a member of the Association of Pet Dog trainers (APDT, UK 01289).  She is also working towards her Kennel Club Accredited Instructors award (membership number HM2130351).

Patrick is Marie’s husband and has an equal passion for dogs. When he’s not working, he helps out at Woofington Lodge. He walks, feeds, plays with and more importantly cuddles all the boarders at the Lodge to make them feel safe and loved.  Patrick is fully qualified in Canine First Aid.

Jess is Marie’s dedicated class assistant and helps out in training classes. She is studying a level three extended diploma in science and hopes to become a canine physiotherapist in the future.  Jess currently has one dog – Bubbles who is a Chorkie (Chihuahua X Yorkshire Terrier).

Ruby helps Marie on behavioural consults as she is well-socialised and very skilled at reading body language of both dogs and people.  Her calm behaviour and excellent communication skills helps reactive dogs relax in her presence and learn social skills and appropriate greetings.  She likes harmony at Woofington Lodge and will strive to make dogs boarding at Woofington Lodge feel calm and settled. Steve was purchased at Crufts in 2014 and has been really good with other dogs.   He doesn’t react to their behaviour and he is particularly good with anxious dogs or dogs that are very reactive towards living dogs.  Steve doesn’t mind being barked at as dogs quickly learn that he isn’t a threat (or a real dog) and this can help dogs to gain confidence.
